Last week, Agfa Radiology Solutions welcomed a delegation of the Ministry of Health of Cape Verde (Juvencia Tavares, Artur Ribeiro) and of FSE-Group (Keila Vitola, Oliver Soo and Koen Jacobs) in its Headquarter offices in Mortsel, Belgium to celebrate the successful go-live  of the new X-ray radiology rooms on the Cape Verde islands.

The upgrade project of the Cape Verde Medical Diagnostics (UVCMD) started in 2014 and includes a.o. radiology, laboratory and dental equipment. The project has a budget of € 9.2 million.

The new Agfa DR 400 systems were deployed on the islands Sao Vicente, San Nicolau, Maio, Santiago, Fogo and Brave, while the new Agfa DR 100e mobile solutions were installed in hospitals on the remote islands San Antao and Sal.

FSE-Group and Agfa Radiology Solutions have worked together on various “turnkey” projects, implementing radiography equipment projects in international markets. This project was particularly challenging due to the COVID-19 situation.
