Lebanon is in mourning and surveying the damage to its capital, Beirut, after a massive explosion ripped through the city’s port and surrounding areas on Tuesday, killing at least 100 people and injuring 4,000 with many feared to be still trapped under rubble.

Hospitals struggle to cope with thousands of wounded.

Our Lebanese colleague Said Al Halaby, living in Beirut, took his injured uncle through the destroyed city to Serhal Hospital, where Agfa’s DX-D 40 digital detector was used for the X-ray examination.  This is what #CountOnUs really means to us!

Located 12 km north of Beirut, Serhat Hospital was built in 1982 by Dr. Samir Serhal.   ISO 9000 certified, the hospital is a nationally recognized 75-bed acute care health center, dedicated to delivering the best medicine and patient experience.  It is focused on excellence in patient and family-centered care.

All of our thoughts and prayers are with those caught up in this terrible incident.

Also our local dealer Khalil Fattal of KFF Healthcare expressed his condolences and posted following on facebook.
