Agfa announces today that it has implemented both the DR 800 and DR 600 direct radiography (DR) systems at Benenden Hospital, in Kent, UK.  The private hospital chose Agfa for its excellent MUSICA image quality with minimum dose, plus the flexibility to handle both fluoroscopy and general radiography.  Since their installation, the X-ray rooms have enabled the hospital to reduce patient dose, while delivering excellent image quality.

“Paramount within the criteria of purchase was that we would be able to obtain optimum images using minimum dose. Thus far both units have provided us with good image quality, and enabled us to reduce patient dose. In addition, the equipment and software had to be user friendly and easy to learn, and Agfa’s solutions ticked all the boxes. This equipment is a pleasure to work with,” explains Tina Marshall, Lead Superintendent of Benenden Hospital.

“We already had experience working with Agfa, and we found the service to be prompt and professional. Installation was quick and efficient, and we finished a week ahead of schedule. The support has been first class; throughout the installation we were kept fully informed, and both engineers and programmers were interactive and easy to work with,” adds Tina Marschall.

“We are very proud to have been chosen by Benenden Hospital after its very competitive search for solutions that fit its specific requirements, both in terms of our technology and our service and support,” comments Louis Kuitenbrouwer, Vice President Radiology solutions of Agfa. “The DR 800 and DR 600 are part of a comprehensive portfolio of solutions and technologies that deliver high-quality images, the potential for lower radiation dose and increased productivity, and a smooth, efficient workflow. Extending our relationship with Benenden Hospital shows the proven value that we and our solutions are able to offer to all types of hospitals, whatever their needs.”
