Our colleague Dr. Eva Vandersmissen, Radiology Solutions R&D – Image Processing, was invited as a guest speaker at the event “The beautiful impact of mathematics in society” at the VUB (Vrije Universiteit Brussel).
In her presentation “An algorithmic look behind the scenes of an X-ray” she showed some examples of image processing, from Digital Subtraction Angiography to MUSICA image processing and finally Deep Learning for rotation, segmentation, similar image detection of images.
During the break our colleague Geert Wellens promoted Agfa with the students.
