On Thursday 21st of June, 17 descendants of the Gevaert family visited Agfa Gevaert. Laura Salas, the only living granddaughter of Lieven Gevaert, brought 4 generations of her family on a trip through Antwerp & Mortsel. A trip down memory lane, for a first-hand experience of the legacy their (great-great)grandfather has left, and the enormous impact he has had, not only by establishing an international imaging business, but also through his visionary approach and social responsibility.

We were very honoured to welcome the family in the Agfa HealthCare demoroom and to be able to show them how the company specialized in photography paper that was founded by their ancestor Lieven Gevaert in 1890 in Antwerp, has grown, expanded and evolved into the global player for digital imaging and e-health solutions, that impacts the lives of so many people and patients all over the world, everyday.
